He obtained an MFA in Dance from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. USA, and graduated from the National School of Classical and Contemporary Dance of INBAL in Mexico. His research explores the interaction between memory and representation in the context of dance aesthetics. His dance, practice, and training are deeply influenced by the aesthetics of the American choreographer Bill T. Jones, with whom he collaborated for thirteen years as a leading dancer, and the pedagogy of the late Mexican choreographer, the celebrated professor Luis Fandiño (Mexico City, 1931-2021). He has also had the opportunity to dance in works by renowned Mexican choreographers of the international scene, including Alicia Sanchez, José Rivera, Raúl Parrao, Raùl Flores Canelo, Laura Rocha, Francisco Illescas, Duane Cochran, Lourdes Luna, Juan Manuel Ramos, Cecilia Lugo, and Gregorio Trejo. In the United States, Stephen Petronio, Bill Young, Colleen Thomas, Yara Travieso, Yin Mei, Malcolm Low, and Yebel Gallegos, among many others. Since 2004, I have gathered with artists from several disciplines to practice together with an embodied form. We rehearse repertory work or teach for educational outreach programming in coordination with artistic institutions and cultural organizations, to lecture, curate, or develop an interdisciplinary project towards performance. In this series of classes, the research focuses on movement as a foundational somatic practice for composition. On what grounds is my dancing taking off? What sustains my energy while dancing? When is my dance speaking?&nbsp; The practice is derived from a series of embodied reflections, placing the need for movement as an intimate experience for the dancer to build, absorb, and negotiate from a holistic place with the stylistic technicalities demanded in the choreographic terrain. Paying attention to efficiency in terms of his ability as a performer. En el cual se observa el movimiento como proceso pedagógico de la “técnica” como conversación escénica, más que como un código lingüístico. En esta serie de clases la investigación toma principal interés en la práctica de movimiento desde su perspectiva somática en función de la composición coreográfica. ¿De dónde parto para moverme? ¿Qué es lo que sostiene mi baile? ¿Y de acuerdo a qué propongo mi danza? La práctica se deriva de una serie que propone la necesidad del movimiento como experiencia intuitiva de la bailarina o bailarín al frente de la performidad y desde un entendimiento holístico para poder construir, absorber y negociar con las tecnicalidades y estilos que se demandan en el terreno coreográfico.
